Health & Safety Training Courses
There are over 1 million workplace injuries every year in the UK, and many are preventable. All businesses are legally obliged to conduct a risk assessments and you should have a nominated lead for health and safety in your business. That person should be trained (usually to Level 3 standard), but if your business has a number of staff it is sensible to offer health and safety training directly to front line staff.
McCrudden Training can help with realistically priced in-house health and safety courses. Each course will be tailored specifically to your place, all your staff will receive comprehensive manuals, certificates and access to our health and safety e-newsletters. What’s more, whilst we’re on-site McCrudden Training tutors are happy to give you free health and safety advice and pointers.

Fire Safety Awareness Training
One of the most cost-effective steps in protecting your business from the effects of a fire is to train your staff in fire safety. And it’s worth remembering that if you haven’t trained your staff and you suffer a fire, insurance companies may refute your claim.
McCrudden Training’s highly interactive short fire safety awareness training course can be delivered on-site (or at a local training venue) from just £395 for a half day. Our courses will make sure that your staff know their roles and responsibilities, can spot fire hazards, and understand the different extinguishers, their uses and how to check them.

Manual Handling Training
A significant majority of the 26.4 million work days lost to injury each year are caused by manual handling injuries. The simple truth is manual handling injuries have a financial impact on your business.
Any staff in your business who regularly get involved in lifting, lowering, pushing or pulling should receive manual handling training at least every 3 years. McCrudden Training can provide a short manual handling workshop delivered in-house for your staff covering the laws relating to safe handling, your spine and safe loads, controversial handling techniques and safe lifting.
Our workshop starts at around £395 for around 8 staff, and are suitable for most industries including the health care sector. Contact us now for more information.
DSE Assessor Training
Poor workstation ergonomics can lead to serious and long-term musculoskeletal injuries and time off work. If any of your staff spend a significant percentage of their working day at a desk, then you must assess their workstation to ensure it doesn’t cause them injury.
If you have a large number of office based staff it can be more cost effective to let McCrudden Training train a small group of staff in how to assess workstations. We’ll teach them about the workstation risks, control measures to reduce the chance of injury, and how to assess and layout a safe workstation (including for special populations like pregnant workers).
Our half day workstation assessor training course can be delivered in-house from £395 for up to 12 staff. To book this training, or for more information contact us now.
