Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Training Course

Introduction

Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults training (formerly known as POVA training) is designed to prevent abuse and neglect, and promote good practice when statutory agencies are involved in the care and support of particularly vulnerable adults.

If you work for a statutory agency (NHS, local authorities, emergency services, and social care) you may well come into contact with vulnerable adults as a natural part of your work.  As a public sector employee you have a duty of care towards vulnerable adults.
