Without evaluation how can you know if training has been effective?
The evaluation form we use aims to encourage participants to reflect on their own learning, by asking what they will take from the course, and rate their own input on the day, as well as feedback about the content and manner of delivery. In addition, it gives an opportunity to comment on administration and facilities, as these can have a direct impact on learning. (We all know how hard it can be to concentrate if you are not comfortable!)
There is no single, perfect solution to the evaluation form, but below you can download a copy of the evaluation form used by McCrudden Training. Please feel free to use or amend this form as you wish.

When working with clients it is a good idea to provide a training contract that sets out what you will provide for them. With larger training contracts, this is likely to be a very formal contract, or might take the form of a service level agreement.
For smaller groups, a simple confirmation letter usually suffices. Download the training contract template used by McCrudden Training here.
To encourage reflection, at the end of the workshop, we often ask participants to complete a contract with themselves about ideas they want to try out. About a month after the course, we post their contracts back to them. This has the ‘double whammy’ of encouraging reflection immediately after the course, and reminding participants of the enthusiasm they had when they left you (before the pressures of work returned).

A task analysis is a crucial aspect of designing a training programme. It breaks the particular task or skill (like planning a project), down into it's component parts, or individual stages. Once you have a step by step list of activities you will need to identify the knowledge, skills or attitudes that learners will need to be introduced to in order for them to successfully complete the task you are training them in.

A course plan is the trainers 'map' for the course. As an absolute minimum it should contain the session objectives, the exercises the trainer will deliver, the timings (including comfort breaks and lunch), and a indication of where handouts are needed.
