Powerful Presenting and Public Speaking
Whether it’s for an annual general meeting, conference, to pitch ideas, a social event, interview or even just participating in meetings, the purpose of a presentation can vary but the skills you need are similar. This workshop will help you plan effectively to maximise the time you have in the ‘lime light’. We will explore different strategies and styles, as well as look at tips and techniques to build confidence.
Course content:
- appropriate uses of presentations and speeches
- characteristics of excellent speeches and presentations
- designing creative, memorable, audience-centred presentations
- using different formats to structure talks • our tricks of the trade
- effective visual aids and reading your audience
- managing nerves to achieve confident delivery.
Duration: One and half days (9 hours).
Who should attend: Anyone who is, or could be, asked to give a speech or make a public presentation and wants to become the best presenter they can.
