Anyone who cooks, prepares or handles food, including pre-packaged foods, as part of their job is required to complete food safety training.

We can provide Level 2 Food Safety training courses (sometimes referred to as basic food safety training or food hygiene courses) across Sussex, and this course will meet the legal requirement for food safety training.

Our face-to-face food safety courses are accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH).

Level 2 Food Safety Training Information

Who is this course for?

The Level 2 Food Safety training is for anyone whose role brings them into contact with food (whether in catering, manufacturing or retail). It’s suitable if you have never completed food safety training or your training was completed more than 3 years ago.

This food hygiene course is not suitable for kitchen/food supervisors or those in charge of food environments.  Supervisors should complete the Level 3 Food Safety Supervision in Catering course. Contact us for more information about this course.
